Q: What is energy therapy?

A: Any approach which utilizes some form of energy to re-establish balance and remove blocks in a living being. Light/color, sound, essential oils, and electrical stimulation (either invasively such as acupuncture or non-invasively such as acupressure, reflexology, Healing Touch, Reiki, Sacred Geometry, Esoteric Healing and so forth) are all examples of energy therapies.

Q: What are common terms used in discussing energy therapy sessions?

A: See glossary.

Q: In BRIEF: how does it works? What are parts of the energy anatomy ?

A1: All people produce electromagnetic fields. Physics–Maxwell’s Law: whenever there is an electric current, there is always a corresponding electromagnetic field. EKG, EMG, and EEG are common hospital tests that prove this.

The palms of one’s hands can emit a biomagnetic field. In the 1980s a SQUID Magnetometer at the University of Colorado School of Medicine documented a bio-magnetic field from the hands of practitioners.

A2: Chakras pull in energy from the universal energy field. Valerie Hunt identified frequencies at the seven main Hindu chakra locations higher than could be attributed to the brain, heart, or any organs in the areas. Note, different mystical backgrounds record additional chakras in many locations.

A3: The body moves energy via meridians. Proven in 1967 by Dr. Kim Han; replicated in 1985 by Dr. Pierre de Vernejoul. Radioactive isotopes were injected and tracked with gamma imaging. The isotopes travelled along acupuncture meridians in four to six minutes. When injected off the suspected path, there was only locale diffusion.

A4: In 2015 South Korean University researchers identified nadis (energy carrying connection threads.) Nadis have been recorded as early as 3,000 years ago in the Chandogya Upanishad (8~6 cc. BCE), verse 8.6.6.[7] and in verses 3.6–3.7 of the Prasna Upanishad (second half of the 1 millennium BCE).

A5: Three main nadis (channels) running in the center of the body include the Ida, Pingala, and Shushumna (connecting the Dantien centers, connecting to Earth’s core, and Divine Consciousness). There are numerous smaller nadis throughout the body carrying energy to and from the chakras and to the central channels. (Nadis may be part of the fascia system whereas meridians are considered another layer at this time.)

A6: There are three Dantien which hold energy and feed the Hara Line which is your constant connection with your highest self and the universal field and is the earliest development in this life space.

Q: What occurs during an energy wellness session with Michelle?

A: Prior to the first session, a health history form is completed. At the first session, the first approximately half hour is used to go through the health history form, set wellness goals, and answer any questions about how energy therapy works. A session may incorporate a variety of intercessions depending upon a client’s goals, but will almost always include an assessment of the energy anatomy flow and balance it if there is any compromised aspect. A client will either sit in a chair or recline on a massage table while fully clothed for the energy balancing and focused spot work segments.

Q: How many sessions will I need?

A: This depends upon your wellness goals. Is it an acute or chronic condition? Do you have more than one goal? How diligent will you be with the assigned self-care homework? How devoted will you be to practicing pro-active stress-management and healthy habits after your initial concern is remedied?

Acute conditions may be relieved in 1-3 sessions; chronic conditions may take longer. The body knows what needs to be released in what order. A client’s willingness to address physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual imbalances may help or hinder the process.

Important notice:

Energy & wellness services are designed to be a complementary therapy. In the United States it is illegal to advocate that holistic methods/care giving may take the place of a Western Medicine physician’s care. It is recommended that if clients are already seeing a doctor for a chronic condition, they should continue seeing their care provider and inform him/her of their holistic involvements, obtain copies of lab/test results to share with the practitioner if comfortable, and expect all to work as a team for their highest and greatest good.

Individual energy experiences will vary. Information exchanged during any of the sessions is educational in nature and is intended to empower the client to be active in managing their own self-care and healing; The information is to be used at the client’s discretion.
